Spring & Fall Cleanups done right, by neighbors who live here

Spring and fall cleanups are how your yard resets between seasons. In spring we cut back the perennials that died over winter, dethatch matted turf, edge the beds, pick up sticks and storm debris, and put a clean first mow on the lawn so everything starts the season fresh. In fall we strip every leaf off the property with backpack blowers, rake out beds and corners, and haul it all away by tarp and truck.

Mercer County is heavy on mature oaks, maples, and tulip poplars, which means a serious amount of leaves from late October into early December. A lot of homeowners in Lawrenceville, Princeton, and Hopewell try to keep up with a leaf blower and a few bags and end up underwater by Thanksgiving. We do the whole property in one or two visits, haul the leaves off site (no piles left at the curb to blow back), and leave the lawn able to breathe through winter instead of suffocating under a wet mat.

What's included

  • Spring cleanup: dethatching, bed cutting, and a fresh start mow
  • Fall cleanup: full leaf removal with truck and tarp haul-away
  • Bed weeding and a hand-cut edge re-defined
  • Gutter-line and roof valley leaf clearing on accessible roofs
  • Stick, branch, and storm debris pickup
  • One-time visit or bundled into your weekly maintenance

How it works

  1. 1

    Quote on site

Owner-led walk-through to look at leaf load, bed count, and tree canopy so the price is fixed, not by the hour.

  2. 2

    Schedule the visit

Spring or fall slot scheduled by neighborhood. You get a service day, not a vague week-long window.

  3. 3

    Cleanup day

Blowers, rakes, and tarps through the whole property. Beds, lawn, driveway, walks, patio, and around the shed all get cleared.

  4. 4

    Haul-away

Everything goes on the truck and off the property. We do not leave piles, bags, or yard waste at the curb.

When we do this work

Spring cleanups start in mid-March once the ground firms up and run through mid-April. Fall cleanups start in late October and run through early December. We strongly recommend booking before the season starts because the calendar fills up fast.

Frequently asked questions

Do you do one fall visit or multiple?+

It depends on how many trees you have. Properties with a couple of small trees can be done in one visit in late November. Properties with mature oaks usually need two visits, one in early November and a final cleanup once the oaks finish dropping.

Do you have to bag the leaves?+

We tarp and haul, which is faster and cleaner than bagging for most properties. If your town requires bagged paper yard-waste bags at the curb, we can do that instead.

Is leaf removal included in weekly mowing?+

Light leaf cleanup during a mowing visit is included. Full fall cleanups (the heavy haul-away) are quoted separately because the labor is much larger.

Can you also clean the gutters?+

We can clear leaves out of accessible gutters on one and two-story homes as an add-on. We do not do full gutter repair or interior cleaning.
